Privacy Policy - The Present Picker assistant tools

The short version

These tools collect nothing about you. No accounts, no sign-in, no names, no emails, no tracking. They answer your gift questions from a fixed bank of 189 hand-picked gift ideas, and what you ask is processed in memory and then forgotten.

What this is

The Present Picker offers read-only helper tools through AI assistants (such as ChatGPT apps and Claude connectors). They suggest gift ideas from thepresentpicker.com.

Data we collect

None. Specifically:

• No accounts, no sign-in, and no names, emails, or contact details are requested or stored.
• The questions you type (for example, "a gift for my dad who likes cooking") are processed in memory to return an answer. They are not logged, not retained, and not tied to you.
• The tool server sets no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no analytics identifiers.
• We do not sell, share, or disclose any data, because there is no data to share.

What each tool receives

Each tool receives only the words your assistant sends for that one request:

• Pick a gift receives who the gift is for, a budget band, interest words, and a style word.
• Search gift ideas receives an interest word or a keyword, plus an optional recipient or budget band.
• Get gift details receives one gift id or gift name.

That is the whole list. No tool receives your name, your email, your account details, or any history from earlier requests, because the tools keep no history at all. Each request stands alone, is answered from the fixed bank, and is forgotten when the answer is sent.

Data retention

Nothing to retain. Because the tools collect no data, there are no logs, no user profiles, and no stored history to keep or delete. Each request is processed in memory and forgotten when it completes.

Your controls

There is nothing to opt out of and nothing to delete, because nothing about you is collected. If you ever believe we hold something about you, write to hello@thepresentpicker.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Links to our website

Tool responses link to thepresentpicker.com. If you open those links, the website's own practices apply. The site has no accounts and runs no ads. It counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and identifies no one, and its home page also runs PostHog, which counts page views, quiz starts and finishes, shares, return visits, saved picks, prompts, and images; quiz answers are never sent to it and it does not record your screen. A gift list you save on the site stays in your own browser and never reaches us.

Children

The tools are for adults buying gifts, including gifts for children. They are not directed at children under 13, and they collect no information from anyone of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page before the change takes effect.
